SRINAGAR: Authorities in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district have rescued 20 vehicles that were stranded due to snowfall on the Bandipora-Gurez Road, officials said on Tuesday.
An official said that the administration responded promptly after receiving information about the vehicles stranded around Razdan Pass and other areas.
Teams from the Administration, JK Police, and Beacon were dispatched to the location, where they rescued the vehicles along with the drivers and passengers trapped in the snow near Zadkhus Nallah and Razdan Top during the night, the official added.
The Bandipora-Gurez Road was closed to traffic on Monday evening following snowfall around Razdan Top and other hilly areas in the region. (KNO)
