SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday reported that heavy snowfall triggered snow-slides and avalanches above Phase 1 in Gulmarg.
However, officials confirmed that there were no casualties or property damage, and no one has been reported missing.
SDPO Tangmarg said that all individuals in the area are safe. He urged media outlets to report responsibly and avoid spreading unnecessary panic.
Meanwhile, tourists and locals have been advised to exercise caution while venturing into avalanche-prone areas, as fresh snowfall has increased the risk of snow-slides. [KNT]
