A Kashmiri resident, Haseena Akhter, 45, wife of Ghulam Hassan Sofi, lives in Usman Hamdania colony Bemina area of Srinagar is suffering from end-stage renal disease due to hypertension and requires early kidney transplantation, presently admitted in Delhi hospital and needs immediate financial help.
According to the letter given by Sir Gang Ram hospital New Delhi, the approximate cost of the kidney transplantation at the hospital is:
- The cost of investigations of the kidney donor and the operation of the donor (Donor Nephrectomy) is rupees 2, 00,000.
- The cost of Kidney transplant operation of the patient and seven days of hospital stay is rupees 5, 50,000
- The cost of induction therapy is rupees 8, 5,000
The family of the patient has appealed to the general public for help as they cannot afford a cost of treatment.
