SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Consumers and Public Distributed has issued an official rate list for the vegetables and the fruits in Srinagar market.
The Saag, the green vegetables consumed widely across Kashmir would sell at Rs 40, a kilogram. However, the kidney beans would be costlier at Rs 50, a kilogram. The list shows that Kiwi and Pine Apple are the costliest fruit that would sell Rs 30 and Rs 60, apiece, respectively.
Officials said the rates will be in vogue till they feel the requirement of revising them. The notification 7459-70 was issued by the Director Mohammad Qasim Wani on November 13, 2018. The rates, he said, would be applicable to the markets falling within the municipal limits of Srinagar city.
