SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have busted a hideout in Zainapora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

A police spokesman in a statement said, “Based on specific information regarding the presence of LET  militants  in orchards of Dachoo Zainpora, Shopian police along with 44 RR and 178 BN CRPF launched a search operation during early morning  hours and during search one sloping hideout of the LET militants was busted and subsequently destroyed.”

“The huge quantity of ammunition like 02 UBGL grenades,03 Chinese grenades, one Ak47 magazine along with 20 AK47rounds, one radio set, eatable items etc along with incriminating material of proscribed outfit LET has been recovered from the said destroyed hideout,” said the spokesman.

He said that the incriminating material has been taken into Police custody for investigation purpose.

“Case FIR Number 99 /2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Zainpora,”  said a police spokesman in a statement.
