SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir has ordered its judges and officers to donate to the government’s flood relief fund to aid victims of the recent cloudbursts and flash floods.
The order, issued by the High court of JK, Ladakh follows an appeal by the Chief Justice to help those affected by the recent devastation.
All Hon’ble Judges of the High Court of JK and Ladakh will contribute Rs 30,000 each, order reads.
Similarly, all District Judges of the UTs of JK and Ladakh will donate Rs 7,000 each, while Civil Judges (Senior Division) and Civil Judges (Junior Division) will contribute Rs 5,000 each, it reads.
All Gazetted Officers of the High Court and District Registrars are to contribute Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,000, respectively.
The order also includes a similar appeal for members of the High Court Bar Association and other District Bar Associations. (KNC)
