SRINAGAR: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is inviting applicants for recruitment to 276 vacant posts of mechanical engineers, chartered accountants, instrumentation engineers, chemical engineers, assistant managers, senior officers, and various other posts. The deadline for online application submission is September 18, 2023.

There are fifty-seven vacant seats available for the mechanical engineer, sixteen for electrical engineer, thirty-six for instrumentation engineer, eighteen for civil engineer, forty-three for chemical engineer, ten for the senior officer (CGD operations & maintenance senior), two for senior officer (LNG business), one for Senior Officer/ Assistant Manager – Biofuel Plant Operations, one for Senior Officer/ Assistant Manager–CBG Plant Operations, thirty for Senior Officer–Sales (Retail/ Lubes/Direct Sales/ LPG), four for Senior Officer/ Assistant Manager–Non-Fuel Business, two for Senior Officer – EV Charging Station Business, two for Fire & Safety Officer–Mumbai Refinery, two for Fire & Safety Officer– Visakh Refinery, six for Quality Control (QC) Officers, sixteen for Chartered Accountants, five for law officers, two for law officers-HR, four for Medical officer, one for General Manager (O/o Company Secretary), one for Welfare Officer –Mumbai Refinery, ten for Information Systems (IS) Officers Fixed Term Contract .

For the post of Senior Officer, Sales (Retail), Sales (Lubes), Sales (Direct Sales), and Sales (LPG), the candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience post-MBA in an executive or managerial role in sales, petroleum lubes, FMCG/automobile/industrial/engineering-products, or the petrochemical industry.

For the post of Senior Officer of City Gas Distribution Operations and Maintenance, the candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in a managerial role in the city gas distribution industry.

For the post of Senior Officer/Assistant Manager, Non-Fuel Business, candidates must have a minimum of two or five years of experience (post-MBA) in an executive or managerial role in sales or marketing in the FMCG industry.

For the post of Senior Officer, EV Charging Station Business, the candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience post-MBA in an executive or managerial role in sales or marketing in the automobile or EV industry.

For the post of Senior Officer, LNG Business, the candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in an executive or managerial role in projects, O&M, sales, and marketing in gas, CGD, RLBNG, or LNG.

For the post of Senior Officer/Assistant Manager—Biofuel Plant Operations, candidates must have a minimum of three to six years of experience in an executive or managerial role in plant or operations management in distillery, chemical processing, petrochemical plant, petroleum refinery, or agrochemical industry.

For the post of Senior Officer/Assistant Manager, CBG Plant Operations, candidates must have a minimum of three to six years of experience in an executive or managerial role in plant or operations management in the distillery, biogas, fertilizer manufacturing, or agrochemical industry.

For the post of General Manager (O/o Company Secretary), the candidate must have twenty-one years of post-qualification work experience with at least 19 years of relevant work experience in a company secretarial setting with in-depth understanding and knowledge of the Companies Act, Rules and Regulations, SCRA, SEBI, MRTP, FEMA Act, listing requirements, Memorandum, and Articles of Association.

For the post of Quality Control Officer, candidates must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a chemical testing laboratory in testing, analysis, R&D, quality control, etc. Relevant experience in testing petroleum products will be an added advantage. (Fuel, lube, grease, etc.) In addition to the above, the candidate should be conversant with relevant IS, ASTM, ISO, and IP test methods and product standards.

For the post of law officer, the candidate must have a minimum of one year of relevant experience as a practicing advocate or working experience in a reputable law firm or the legal department of a company. In addition, the candidates should be computer savvy and possess a good knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.

For the post of law officer (HR), the candidate must possess at least one year of relevant experience as a practicing advocate or one year of working experience in a reputable law firm or legal department of any company.

The selection process would comprise various shortlisting and selection tools like computer-based tests, group tasks, personal interviews, moot courts (only for law officers and law officers-HR), etc., which would be administered depending upon the position requirement.

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of INR 50000–280000 per post.
