The Election Commission of India on Monday appointed Hirdesh Kumar as the chief electoral officer of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
He will replace Shailendra Kumar, with effect from the date he assumes charge, reads an order issued by B C Patra, Secretary, Election Commission of India.
He is presently holding the charge of Commissioner Secretary School Education.
