Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Saturday said that their commander Abdul Waheed alias Hamzah was killed by police in the same way as they put Shakeel alias Obaidullah to death in July 2013.
Quoting United Jihad Council Chief Syed Salahuddin, the outfit spokesperson Syed Sadakat Hussain said that during his address to UJC leaders, Salahuddin said, “Some consciousless policemen in a bid to appease their masters staged a drama and martyred a person in custody. They have to pay a price for all this. Mufti-Modi strategy has got exposed now. God willingly their every attempt to weaken our resolve and freedom movement will not make the grade,” he said.
Syed Salahuddin while paying rich tribute to Abdul Waheed said that “his sacrifice will bear fruits”. “His every drop of blood will produce another Waheed,” he said.
He appealed to Hurriyat leadership to foil all the designs of anti-freedom elements that according to Salahuddin have been resorting to target killings and their targets are unarmed freedom loving people. “There is a need to fight these elements and expose them before the people,” he said.
“The people who stage fake dramas to kill freedom loving people will have to answer for their shameful acts and deeds and history will never forgive them,” he said.
