Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit has claimed the responsibility for an attack on an army convoy in Lower Munda area of southern Kashmir’s Islamabad district that left two soldiers dead and four injured.

In a tele-statement KNS, the Hizb operational spokesman, Burhan-ud-din said, “The outfit militants carried out the attack successfully, which resulted in the killing of four troopers and injured seven as well.”

“The injured troopers according to the reports are in critical condition,” he added.

Quoting the operational commander Mehmood Ghaznavi, he said that “the militants who carried out the attack will be given cash reward.”

He warned of more such attacks in future.
