Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen while owning the responsibility of Batamaloo attack said that a paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was killed after the boys affiliated with Hizb attacked them.

The outfit Operational Spokesperson Burhanuddin told news agency CNS that a couple of militants from the outfit carried an attack on Indian troopers resulting in the death of a CRPF man and injuries to others.

Pertinently, the militants carried out the attack in busy Batamaloo near Fire and Emergency Service office creating panic in the area.

A trooper whom sources identified as Shankar Lal of 23 Battalion was injured in the attack who later on succumbed to his injuries.

Shortly after the attack, Government Forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, however, no arrests were made. (CNS)
