Militant outfit Hizb-Ul-Mujahideen in a tele statement issued to KNS claimed responsibility of the attack. Hizb operational spokesperson Baleeg-Ud-Din stated that outfit’s ‘highway squad’ carried out the attack on forces at Pampore that injured eight forces personnel including an officer.

Pertinently, militants on Monday night attacked Army convoy at South Kashmir due to which eight men of the Border Security Force (BSF) 59 battalion, including an Assistant Commandant sustained injuries.

Reports had said that BSF convoy was returning to its camp at Pantha Chowk, At 10.15 p.m. militants attacked it from two sides at Kadlabal Pampore.
