The posters attributed to Hizb-Ul-Mujahideen on Thursday morning appeared in Tral town of Pulwama district where in it claimed responsibility for snatching rifle from a cop of police’s Special Operation Group or STF on Monday evening, this week.

The posters which were pasted on the walls of different mosques in the Town read: “We (HM) want to hail the act of snatching a rifle (AK 47) and a pouch from a STF personal in STF Tral camp…it is the handiwork of our colleague.”

Latif Ahmad Gojri, who is working with SOG Tral, had reported to his senior officers that his rifle AK-47 along with a pouch and few magazines had gone missing from his residence. “The family quarter of the policeman is just 100 meters far away from SOG camp in the area,” sources had told GNS.

Sources had said his friend, who had links with the militants, was behind the incident.

The militant outfit identifies the SOG personal and says the incident took place just two days before at 6:00 pm in the evening.

“We will continue such acts in the future, God Willing!” the poster warns.
