Srinagar Police claimed that it apprehended a militant of Hizbul-Mujahidin outfit at Maltang Dalgate, Srinagar on Wednesday.
“A Police party of police station R.M Bagh apprehended a militant Feroz Ahmed Bhat of Hizbul Mujahidin outfit son of Abdul Gani resident of Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar at Maltang Dalgate, Srinagar, and recovered an AK 47 rifle, two AK magazines, twenty six rounds of AK 47 and one wireless set from his possession,” a police statement said. It added that a case has been registered in this regard.
Pertinent to mention that police officials had a number of times declared Srinagar, ‘militant free’.
