Srinagar: Srinagar police has busted a Hizb ul Mujahideen module by arresting its three members in Bemina area of Srinagar on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A police party of west zone Srinagar during Naka checking  at Bemina Bypass Crossing apprehended three suspects identified as Reyaz Ahmad Wani son of Mohammad Ramzan Wani resident of Dachan Kishtwar, Ikhlaq Ahmad Khanday son of Ghulam Rasool Khanday resident of Dachan Kishtwar, and Tawseeul-Nabi son of Ghulam Nabi Gundroo resident of main Kishtwar. On their checking police recovered  02 Pistols , 02 Pistol Magazines, 20 rounds, 04 grenades, 01 wireless set and a packet of explosive substance.

During preliminary investigation it surfaced that the trio was working with Jahangeer, an active militant in Kishtwar.

Srinagar police has registered a case FIR number 41/2017 under section 7/25 Arms Act, 3/5 Explosive Substance Act against these militants and further investigation has been taken up.
