The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction to the engagement of 28 faculty positions for Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu and its Super Specialty Hospitals (SSH) on academic arrangement under SRO-24 of 2019.
The appointments, to augment the deficiencies of human resource in the GMC, Jammu and the SSHs, have been made for a period of one year or till the posts get filled on a regular basis.
Meanwhile, the Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo said that the government move aims at to augment Medical Education faculty and strengthening the Health Care system.
“The endeavor of the government is to provide affordable and quality health care to the people of Jammu and Kashmir by ensuring zero out of pocket expenses,” he added.
