According to the locals when the local people objected the proposed move of the CRPF, the police used force and tear smoke shells on the local people which left dozens of people with serious injuries.”

He said that instead of removing the said CRPF camp “who have recently murdered an innocent engineering student Gowhar Nazir Dar in the area, the killer forces have started to illegally occupy the more land in the area”.

While strongly condemning the proposed move of the CRPF in HMT Zainakote, Geelani said, “the civilian government in the Jammu & Kashmir is just for the name and the actual control of this state is in the hands of Indian occupational forces and its secret agencies.”
