SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday said that a proposal to increase the honorarium of Personal Assistants attached to Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) is currently under consideration.
In a written reply to a question raised by Central Shalteng MLA Tariq Hamid Karra, the government informed the House that the proposal is being examined by the Finance Department.
The reply stated that the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department has submitted a proposal seeking enhancement of the monthly honorarium of PAs engaged with MLAs, which is presently under scrutiny in the Finance Department.
