The J&K Legislative Council Monday passed two Bills including the Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authorities Act, 1997 (LA Bill No: 7 of 2015) and the Bill to provide for the Regulation of Private Security Agencies operating in the State of Jammu and Kashmir and for the matters connected therewith or incidental thereto (LA Bill No: 8 of 2015).
The Bills were moved for consideration by the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Basharat Ahmad Bukhari and the Minister for Horticulture, Hajj and Auqaf Abdul Rehman Veeri on behalf of the Chief Minister.
The House passed these Bills by voice vote.
Earlier, the Secretary, J&K Legislative Council, Abdul Majid informed the House about these Bills having been passed by the Legislative Assembly during the current session and sent for consideration of Legislative Council.
