Human Rights Week: JRL holds candle-light vigils in Kashmir

The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Friday evening held candle light protests on fifth consecutive day in different parts of Kashmir valley in connection with ‘Human Rights Week’.

JRL activists staged candlelight vigil against human rights violations in Kashmir

A JRL spokesperson said a number of candle light vigil protests were held in different places of Kashmir valley including Lal Bazar, Pampore, Elahi Bagh Soura and other places people assembled and staged candle light protest against the ongoing human rights abuses in Kashmir.

The JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik has called for peaceful protests against human rights violations in Kashmir.

They have urged people to lit candles and torchlights after evening prayers during the week to highlight human rights abuses.
