SRINAGAR: Humboldt Foundation is providing fellowship to post-doctoral and experienced researchers in Germany.
Researchers who have completed their doctorate less than 4-years ago can apply for the Post-doctoral research fellowship which extends for 6-24 months.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their educational qualifications.
The fellowship grants 2,500 EUR (2,08,974.39 INR) per month plus medical and liability insurance, travel expenses, language fellowship and family allowances for accompanying family members staying at least three months.
The documents that are required to submit along with application form include Doctorate or comparable academic degree (PhD, CSc or equivalent), Academic publications, Confirmation that research facilities are available, mentoring agreement, a detailed expert’s statement, expert reviews from the doctoral supervisor and one other academic qualified and Necessary Language skills.
Researchers who have completed their doctorate less than 12-years ago can apply for the Experienced Research fellowship which extends 6-18 months.
They should usually be working at least at the level of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Group Leader or be able to document independent research work over a number of years.
Scientists and scholars from all disciplines and countries may apply. Candidates are selected on the basis of their academic qualification.
It offers 3,000 EUR (2,50,682.35 INR) per month plus other benefits.
Documents required to submit along with application are Doctorate or comparable academic degree (PhD, CSc or equivalent), Candidate’s own research profile documented by a comprehensive list of academic publications, confirmation that research facilities are available and mentoring agreement and a detailed expert’s statement by an academic host at a research institution in Germany, two expert reviews and Necessary language skills.
The application process is online and open throughout the year. The selection committee meets every year in March, July and November. If an application has been approved, a fellow arriving from abroad may start the fellowship two months after the selection meeting at the earliest.
