Hundreds of people across Pulwama on Monday attended the last rites of paramilitary trooper at Niara village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports said that hundreds of mourners across Pulwama, including men, women and elderly, assembled in Niara village for the funeral procession of the slain CRPF constable, identified as Naseer Ahmad Rather, son of Wali Mohammad, a resident of Naira Pulwama. The slain trooper belonged to 182 Batallion of CRPF.

Rather was killed on July 29, 2018, after militants barged inside his house and fired upon him. He was immediately shifted to district hospital Pulwama in critical conditions where he was declared brought dead.
