Jammu & Kashmir State Branch of Red Cross Society organized a one day general medical camp at a rural village Uttersoo of Block Shangus in District Islamabad at IIST Uttersoo. Hundreds of people, including women and children, availed the facilities and praised the efforts and commitment of Red Cross in organising a camp in the area. Free medicines were distributed among the patients of the area.
According to après release, the camp was inaugurated by the Honorary General Secretary Red Cross Society State Branch Ms. Roma Wani. She assured the general public that in the next phase of such programs in the area, first aid trainings besides disaster management courses to the youth will start and the “volunteer drive” from the area will also be strengthened.
It was further stated that specialized medical services shall be provided along with other facilities to meet the needs of the inhabitants of the said block.
