As the Governor NN. Vohra on Wednesday invoked Vajpayee, saying under the ambit of Humanity dialogue with separatists would be initiated, Huriyat Conference (G) said it will discuss its strategy once the offer of talks is made to it.

“It would be recalled that the erstwhile NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had initiated a dialogue process with all political groups including the Hurriyat Conference, in the spirit of ‘Insaaniyat, Kashmiriyat aur Jamhooriyat'”, said  JK Governor NN Vohra while addressing the joint session of the state legislature today..

Talking to KNS, the Huriyat Conference (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that the amalgam will discuss its forthcoming strategy in its advisory council, once the offer of talks is extended to the conglomerate.

Elaborating further, Akbar said that if the Huriyat (G) is offered to hold dialogue wfor the resolution of Kashmir, it will discuss the issue thoroughly before reaching out to any conclusion and taking a final call.

The Huriyat (G) spokesman added that the resolution of Kashmir at an earliest is not only in the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir but will also benefit billions of people of south Asia including both India and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Akbar said that the delegation headed by amalgam’s chairman Syed Ali Geelani will meet the Pak high commissioner at New Delhi on March 23. “Yes, we are going there. Several issues will be discussed with Mr Basit and we would also listen to what Pak High Commissioner has to say.”
