Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Thursday expressed deep concern over the grievous injuries caused by pellet gun and said though the experts have declared its use hazardous and a serious threat to life, “Yet the unabated use by police and armed forces indicates that they least care for precious and innocent lives.”

Praying for Suhail Ahmad, who was injured due to the pellets, Geelani lamented the administration for their callous approach against youth and said that their claim with respect to peace are hoax “as it is the forced silence maintained by dint of gun and added that basic and fundamental rights are being violated.”

“Omar Abdullah administration is practically nonexistent and it is the police backup that has made its administration to run. They have provided the free hand to police and are not accountable for their misdeeds,” he alleged.

Blaming the police for their highhandedness, Geelani said, “They have made the life of youth miserable. It is they who decide the fortune of youth and decide about their destiny. Police on account of their highhandedness and for their arbitrary measures against the youth are not asked for their crime, instead are accorded and awarded for their offences.”

Meanwhile Geelani has demanded stringent and exemplary punishment for the self-styled peer and said, “The way impostor was deceiving and misleading common people is because of our ignorance and distance from teachings of Holy Quran and traditions of bellowed prophet Muhammad (SAW).”

Geelani has appealed to the people to follow the teaching of Islam in its real sprit and added until “we seek guidance from teachings of Holy Quran and traditions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), these swindlers will mislead under the garb of self made Shariyat. The quacks like Gulzar are everywhere and take advantage of our ignorance,” said Geelani.

Warning the people from fake healers he said, “These swindlers are being projected by falsehood and suppressive forces and sponsor the system to promote superstitions and miss belief among Muslims. The people should follow the teachings of prophet Muhammad (SAW).”
