Hurriyat (G) conference on Thursday condemned the policy of violence against the pro-freedom people, especially the youth in nook and corner of the state. Incarceration of Ab Qayoom Matto and other eight persons on the eve of Eid festival in Kishtiwaar is unjustified saying it is the worst form of vengeance and against all ethics, spokesperson added.
The spokesperson strongly condemned the continuous house detention of Syed Ali Geelani and putting Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Mohammad Yasin Malik, and Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai under house arrest.
The spokesperson hailed the people of Kishtiwar for elegance and their determination with the freedom movement. Spokesperson while expressing his deep concern about gross human rights violations and strangulating freedom expression and denial to right to live with dignity, said that these repressive measures have made the people of state vulnerable to the impunity of the men in uniform.
Meanwhile, according to the statement, a delegation comprising of Umar Adil Dar, Ishfaq Ahmad and Ab Rashid visited SKIMS to inquire about the wellbeing of Ab Majid, injured in unprovoked forces shootout. The statement said that said youth is in ICU in critical condition, battling for life. The delegation prayed for his early recovery and expressed their solidarity with his family.
