JAMMU: Hurriyat Conference (g) on Wednesday condemned the slapping of Public Safety Act (PSA) on the incarcerated Tehreek-e-Huriyat (TeH) leaders Mohammad Rustum Bhat, Mohammad Yusuf Bhat and shifting Moulana Sarjan Barkati to central jail Srinagar.
In a statement issued here, a spokesperson of Hurriyat while lashing at state authorities for their “callous and insensitive policy” against detainees, said that it is quite heartless and illogical.
He expressed displeasure over the silence maintained by World Red Cross, ICRC and international organisation for human rights and said that their negligence towards detainees is heartening.
“They failed to oblige their duties and nor they are taking any effective step to check senseless detention of innocent citizens.”
