While ridiculing National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah’s statement on Afzal Guru, Hurriyat Conference (G) on Monday said that nation can’t forget its thousands of ‘martyrs’ including Afzal.
In a statement to a local news agency, KNS Hurriyat (G) termed Senior Abdullah’s statement as ‘opportunism and Political dishonesty’ and said, “for the sake of power National Conference cannot ask Kashmiris to forget the blood of our youth and dear ones, and what forces did to the honor and dignity of our sisters and mothers.”
“We want to ask those who preach us to forget Afzal, how they manipulated August 9, 1953 incident and used that for its political benefit”, reads the statement.
Hurrriyat (G) also said that people cannot forget those who implemented PSA, AFSPA and Ikhwan Raj.
