Hurriyat Conference (G) Wednesday said that it would organise a seminar on Sunday, April 21 at Hyderpora in which Chairman Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani and prominent speakers would speak about, ”Alama Iqbal and Concept of freedom “.
Chairman Syed Ali Geelani while paying glorious tributes to the great poet said that ideology put forth by Alama Iqbal provides a perfect guidance for the just solution of the suffering and problems faced by Muslim Umah. “His ideology is based on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Holly Quran”, added Syed Ali Geelani.
“His ancestors were from Kashmir and Iqbal a great sympathiser and supporter of Kashmir cause was proud about his antecedents and always pleaded the case and cause of Kashmir”.
Syed Ali Geelani while referring to the history said that Iqbal always opposed the British rule and consequently rejected the Amritsar treaty. He said his poetry serves as a source of inspiration for us and it is need of time to seek guidance from his poetry and teachings.
Meanwhile a high delegation including Peer Saif Ullah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Raja Meraj u Din, Muhammad Yusuf Mujahid and spokesman Ayaz Akbar attended the condolence meeting at residence of Gh Nabi Sumji General Secretary and extended condolence and expressed their sympathy with the bereaved family. Meanwhile a condolence meeting on April 19 after Friday prayers would be held at his residence, in which pro freedom leaders and religious clerics would participate.
