Unknown gunmen on Tuesday morning shot dead a Hurriyat leader in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district, while his wife was injured in the incident.
Official sources said that unknown gunmen fired upon a Tehree-e-Hurriyat district President Islamabad Hafeez Mir, at his residence in Budroo Achabal area of Islamabad district. In the incident, Mir along with his wife sustained injuries.
Mir was reportedly rushed to Hospital for the treatment, however, doctors at District Hospital Islamabad declared him dead on arrival. However, his wife is being treated at the hospital.
