SRINAGAR

The APHC has devised a programme to observe Martyrs day on July 13 and APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar farooq has called for a joint session of Hurriyat’s executive and general council on July 8 to give final touches to the programme.

“According to the programme, the Hurriyat leaders are going to lead the protests marches from all district headquarters of Kashmir and would proceed towards the Jamia Masjid, Srinagar. Once all the protest gatherings would converge at Jamia Masjid, the APHC Chairman would lead all of them in a joint procession towards Naqashbandh Sahib (RA) shrine soon after the afternoon prayers are over. At Naqashbandh Sahib (RA) shrine, a large gathering would be held where resolutions against military buildup and black laws leading to gross human rights violations and bloodshed of Kashmiris would be passed. The Kashmiris would also appeal the UN and other International organizations to press India for the immediate resolution of the Kashmir problem,” reads the statement.
