The Hurriyat Conference (M) has sternly condemned the “unnecessary harassment, arrest, torture, and frisking of people across Kashmir in the wake of India’s Republic day”.

The spokesman of the conglomerate said those people who are pompously claiming to be democratic are using military and force to break the will of Kashmiris. He said that despite using every repressive measure, the Kashmir’s resolve for freedom would never die down till they will achieve their goal.

The spokesman said the way political rights of Kashmiris were usurped and their freedom was trampled upon by using force was an eye opener for the International community and democratic countries.

Meanwhile Hurriyat leaders have expressed shock and grief over the sad demise of party worker Abdul Qadir Lasjan. A high level Hurriyat delegation visited his house and sympathised with the bereaved family.  They also passed on the condolence message of Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to the bereaved family
