Hurriyat (M)strongly condemning the nocturnal raids in various parts of Kashmir including Hajin, Bandipora, and Pulwama in south Kashmir said that under the garb of search operations, people of all ages are subjected to the worst form of “harassment, torture” while properties worth lakhs are vandalized by the government forces.

The spokesman said that authorities have made it a regular affair to “harass” and instill fear among the people and it seems that harassing and warning people with dire consequences has been made a formal policy of the rulers in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, APHC senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Waza while addressing various public meetings in South Kashmir condemned the reign of “terror” unleashed in all south Kashmir districts. He said people of entire south Kashmir have been left at forces’ mercy as almost all the affairs here are managed by the thousands of forces personnel, who even check and frisk the public transport vehicles anytime they wish to.

Waza also visited the residence of 25-year-old Nisar Ahmed Bhat of Krapar, Shangas who was killed in an encounter at Machil and also conveyed the condolence to the family members on behalf of APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
