Strongly denouncing the continued house arrest of Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and arresting JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik from Dastgeer Sahab’s shrine at Sarai Bala, an APHC (m) spokesperson Monday said this reflected the frustration on part of the ruling class and their acceptance of political defeat.
In a statement issued here this afternoon, condemning the use of “excessive force and violence” on people, the spokesman said the ruling class was doing it for “crushing the resilience and will” of the people who were consistently showing their involvement with the ongoing resistance movement.
He said it was an attempt to create a wedge between the “resistance leadership and freedom-loving” people and also to hoodwink the international community from the real situation of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, besides other parts of Kashmir, as per the unified resistance leadership’s ‘Lal Chowk March’, Hurriyat activists staged a peaceful protest march from Naqshband Sahab shrine, which was dispersed by the government forces by using brutal force and violence, the statement said.
