Hurriyat (M) on Thursday paid glowing tributes to party’s prominent member and Kashmir’s noted legal luminary Abdul Hameed Kakroo of Baramulla on his demise stating that the deceased was a close aide of Shaheed-e-Milat Moulvi Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq who remained on the forefront of party’s activities on social, religious and political fronts.

A Hurriyat delegation headed by G.N.Zaki visited Baramulla today. Terming the death of Kakroo as an irreparable loss for the party said that the deceased’s contribution can never be forgotten. Hurriyat said that deceased Kakroo left no stone unturned to take the party’s manifesto to the grass root level in district Baramulla. When Shaheed-e-Milat was arrested and subjected to torture in 1965, Kakroo Sb was also arrested with him, he stood like a rock with him and faced the assault in unison without entering into any sort of compromise.

Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed his heartfelt condolence on the demise of wife of retired Sessions Judge Mirza Saifuddin Ahmed and extended his solidarity and sympathy with the family of deceased. Mirwaiz prayed for the highest standards in Janah for the deceased, stating that she was a gentle and a noble soul.
