Hurriyat (M) executive constituent DFP, has strongly refuted the statement of the chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq that Shabir Ahmad Shah was in the know-how of the Delhi visit of the Hurriyat members.

Reacting to the statement of Hurriyat Conference(M), Democratic Freedom party Monday said that it was never knowing about  Hurriyat leaders Delhi visit.

“To say and potray that the DFP Chairman was aware of the Delhi visit is not good,” said a DFP spokesman. He added, “What the DFP had proposed in the executive meeting is that the Hurriyat should delay its Pakistan visit for some time as Pakistan was engaged in the election process”.

A statement of the DFP further clarified saying, “It was already suggested from our part that Hurriyat should first set its own house in order and then decide on the Pakistan visit,”.

The statement further said that it was Mohammad Abdullah Tari who represented the party in the last meeting of the Hurriyat Conference.

A Hurriyat delegation last month went to New Delhi but Shabir Shah was not a part of it. Shah, who is already against the Hurriyat’s Pakistan visit, while reacting to the Delhi visit of its leaders said that he was not even informed about it.
