SRINAGAR: On Wednesday when the Mumbai police filed a 1467-page supplementary charge sheet in the sensational pornography racket case against Raj Kundra and three others, his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty was busily footing the distance to Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra.
Ms Shetty is reported to have walked for 13 km to the cave shrine. She was also seen in photographs on a horse. Reports said apart from paying her respects at the cave shrine, she also interacted with some media persons who were around.
“It was due to the goddesses’ call that I came all the way to pay obeisance to her,” Shetty was quoted saying in media reports.
Shetty’s visit to the shrine coincided with the Mumbai Police submitting a supplementary charge sheet against her husband, Raj Kundra. The actor is mentioned as a witness in the case.
The Mumbai police have so far arrested 11 persons in the case that was busted after a raid at a bungalow in Madh Island in February 2021 where porn films were allegedly being shot. Kundra and Thorpe, who headed his company’s IT, on July 19.
Shetty, though doing everything to help her arrested husband, has stayed away from the case. “I am not aware about the Hotshots or Bollyfame apps. I was too busy with my own work and hence, not aware about what Kundra was up to,” Shetty was quoted saying. “Kundra started Viaan Industries Limited in 2015 and I was one of the directors till 2020 when I resigned due to personal reasons.”
