A man was killed while his wife and two-year-old son received critical injuries when their car skidded off the road and fell into Chenab in Doda district, police said on Monday.
The accident took place near Premnagar in Doda district on Sunday night after the driver lost control on a steep curve.
Police, along with locals, rescued the young couple and their minor son from the half-submerged car and rushed them to hospital where doctors declared the man dead. However their identification could not be ascertained.
The victim’s critically injured wife and son are undergoing treatment, said SDPO, Bhadarwah, Birjesh Sharma.
