Police in its recent action against drug dealings in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has arrested husband and wife for drug supply offences and recovered a contraband substance from their possession.
The police spokesman said that cops at a checkpoint established near Arwani Crossing arrested husband-wife duo identified as Farooq Ahmad Bhat and his wife Haseena, residents of Hyder colony Sopore. Contraband substance Charas has been recovered by the officers from their possession. Both were taken to Police Station Bijbehara where they remain in custody.
Case FIR No. 104/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation initiated in the matter.
