SRINAGAR: Three days after being killed in an encounter at Hyderpora area of Srinagar, authorities on Thursday evening exhumed the bodies of two civilians in Handwara.
Sources told Kashmir Life that authorities exhume the bodies of two civilians identified as Mohammad Altaf Bhat and Dr Mudasir Gul who were killed in an encounter at Hyderpora on Monday.
The bodies were exhumed after family members of the slain civilians approached authorities and staged protests for taking the bodies to their ancestral graveyards.
The duo will be buried in their ancestral graveyards,said the sources.
