As more than half-time has passed, both the teams Real Kashmir FC and Churchill brothers in I-league 2018-19, have remained constant with the zero scores. The match which started today at 2:00 pm, is being played in Synthetic Turf Stadium in Srinagar.

Braving the cold of Kashmir,  both the teams are playing with great effort and energy. while the audience from various areas including outside Kashmir has come to cheer up for both the teams. A team from Kashmir, Real Kashmir FC made its debut on October 30, 2018, against Minerva Punjab.

The turf in Srinagar, where the match is going on was being maintained properly yesterday. Players from both the teams were also seen practicing in the ground. Earlier, Real Kashmir had an impressive debut in the I-League. Taking the field in a 3-5-2 formation, the team fought neck to neck against the reigning champions and eventually picked up full points.

Real Kashmir FC captain Loveday; earlier while speaking to media said that the team is not new to the cold weather as they have earlier played matches in Shillong, a cold hill station in northeast India. However, it could be tough for the Churchill brothers as they have to play under adverse weather conditions in Srinagar. However, Churchill Brothers Romanian coach Petre Gigiu said that the adverse climate can prove bad for the players playing today.

Pertinently, for the first time, I-League debutants Real Kashmir Football Club have pulled off a major sponsorship coup by signing up sportswear giant Adidas for the national season. Till now, no other football team has an association with the global brand.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir former chief minister Omar Abdullah termed the match a “nail biter” so far, as both the teams on zero score. In his tweet, Omar wrote: “Watching @realkashmirfc take on Churchill Brothers Goa in the shadow of snow capped mountains. It’s been a nail biter so far @ILeagueOfficial.”
