The football match between Real Kashmir FC and Churchill brothers held at Srinagar’s Synthetic Turf ground today under I-league 2018-19, ended up with at zero scores from both sides.

The match started today at 2:00 pm, earlier after the half of the time was over, no scores were seen, however, till the last movement both the teams played tirelessly and remained constant. The match was finally declared a draw, as there was no score from both the sides.

Despite the adverse weather of Kashmir, as most of the players from both teams belong to warm geographical areas. Earlier, Real Kashmir had an impressive debut in the I-League.

Real Kashmir FC captain Loveday; earlier said that the team is not new to the cold weather as they have earlier played matches in Shillong, a cold hill station in northeast India. However, it could be tough for the Churchill brothers as they have to play under adverse weather conditions in Srinagar.

However, Churchill Brothers Romanian coach Petre Gigiu said that the adverse climate can prove bad for the players playing today.

Pertinently, for the first time, I-League debutants Real Kashmir Football Club have pulled off a major sponsorship coup by signing up sportswear giant Adidas for the national season. Till now, no other football team has an association with the global brand.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir former chief minister Omar Abdullah termed the match a nail biter so far, in his tweet Omar wrote: “Watching @realkashmirfc take on Churchill Brothers Goa in the shadow of snow-capped mountains. It’s been a nail-biter so far @ILeagueOfficial.”
