Real Kashmir Football Club (FC) on Tuesday beat Shillong Lajong FC 6-1 in the ongoing I-League in the match played on the synthetic turf at TRC.

The Real Kashmir that made history by getting into the I-League has played seven matches for the ongoing season. It was the fourth victory of Real Kashmir FC in the tournament.

With today’s victory, Real Kashmir FC has made their way up to the third spot in league standings. Real Kashmir FC smashed four goals in the first half of the match with Ghanian striker Abednego Tetteh scored an opening goal.

Whereas the only consolation goal for Lajong came in the 28th minute when Samuel Kynshi picked up a fortunate goal in the first half.

Real Kashmir FC despite being a debutant team has displayed a stunning performance in the ongoing tournament.

Real Kashmir FC lost the match to Mohan Bagan with 0:1 score. Earlier, it lost to Manipur’s Neroca FC 2:0. However, it won a match against defending champions team from Punjab, Manerva Punjab, Aizawl FC, and Indian Arrows. Its match with Churchill Brothers led to a draw.

The stadium was jam-packed as usual. They supported both the teams. But some of the watchers said the Real Kashmir played well.
