SRINAGAR
IAF has airlifted seven patients in critical condition from Tangdar. These included three children, three women and a man.
It followed DC DC Kupwara making a formal request to the army for help in wake of the critical conditions of the seven residents. Road between Kupwara and Karnah is closed because of massive snowfall on Sadhna Top.
PRO defence also said they evacuated a 30 year old woman Mrs Hafeeza Begum, resident of village Machhil, who has been suffering from gastroenteritis. She was evacuated by Army from Machhil to Kilometer 8 and thereafter she was further evacuated to Kupwara District Hospital by a civil ambulance.
