Congratulating the young blood of Jammu and Kashmir for cracking competitive examinations continuously in recent past and making the people of the state feel proud, People’s Democratic Party youth leader and Political Analyst in Chief Minister’s office, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra Sunday said that the  trend is so “overwhelming” that local boys and girls have already climbed the ladder of  the “most sought after” Indian Administrative Service.

“More than forty youth from Jammu and Kashmir have qualified IAS exam in past few years. More and more youth are taking the civil services route in the state after Dr Shah Faisal, who had set his eyes to become a doctor, created history by topping the All India merit list in 2010,” Parra told CNS adding that it is a good sign that toppers in IAS, CET and other competitive examinations have been coming up from average families.

Parra said that once again the young blood of Kashmir have proved that there is no dearth of talent in this part of world.

“The youth who have qualified IAS and other competitive examinations in recent past have made us feel proud. We should salute these talented youth by heart and the budding youth should seek inspiration from such talented people,”  he said adding that youth are the real assets of the nation.

“In Kashmir, IAS is not just a competitive examination, but those who crack it are seen to make a significant ideological statement now and it is a good sign,” he said and asked the youth to put their efforts to crack such examinations in future as well.
