SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Helpers To Supervisors Association on Thursday demanded the release of salary which is pending from the last several months stating that constant delay in the release of their honorarium has made their life tough.

They assembled here at press enclave under the banner of J&K Helpers To Supervisors Association,  ICDS Department and threatened to intensify their protests if the government did not meet their demands.

“We are working in the department from last many years but are still facing numerous difficulties as we have not received our salaries since 2019,” said Mahjabeena a protesting ICDS worker.

“From election duty to pulse polio, we are doing all kinds of groundwork, but when it comes to our basic rights, we are always ignored,” said an Anganwadi worker who was part of a protest.

The Protesters ICDS employees said that the government is taking advantage of the pandemic due to which they suffer.

“We appeal lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha to look into the matter and address the issue swiftly,” said the protesting employees.
