SRINAGAR: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) invites applications for the “ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF)” for PhD, MD, and MS degree holders. The last date for applications is December 31, 2023.
ICMR intends to offer fifty fellowships that aim to foster quality research opportunities in areas of basic science, communicable and non-communicable diseases, and reproductive health, including nutrition, at ICMR institutes and centers.
For eligibility, a candidate must be 32 years old, with the flexibility of up to five years in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PH and women candidates and must be a PhD/MS/MD degree holder who has been awarded the degree within three years of completing or hold a provisional PhD/MD/MS degree.
Moreover, the post-doctoral proposed research work should be the continuation of the PHD/MD/MS research work, and the PhD guide should have a minimum destination of a scientist-C grade.
Documents required include a photograph of the applicant, an attested copy of a school leaving/high school/secondary school certificate, attested copies of mark sheets, grade cards, and degrees BSc/MSc/MPhil/BE/ME/BPharm/MPharm/PhD/MBBS/MD/MS, attested copy of caste certificate, list of publications, one-page summary of PhD thesis, detailed research proposal, testimonials from two referees, and plagiarism check report verified by ICMR-RIO
Selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 65,000 per month, a house rent allowance, a non-practicing allowance (NPA) as applicable, and a contingency grant of INR 3.0 lakhs per year.
Selection of the “ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Fellows” will be made through interviews with short-listed candidates. The applicants must download the attached form, fill it out completely, and attach all supporting documents.
