SRINAGAR: Two separate road accidents were reported from the Pampore area of Pulwama district and the Gurez sector of Bandipora on Saturday.
In Pampore, two people sustained injuries after their car crashed into a tree in the Wuyan area. Officials said the vehicle skidded on the slippery road and lost control before hitting the tree. Both occupants were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
In another incident, a Swift Dzire veered off the road near Khopri Chorwan village of Gurez Valley and landed in nearby fields. The vehicle was on its way from Gurez to Bandipora when the driver lost control on the icy stretch.
Although the vehicle sustained extensive damage, all occupants escaped without injuries. The damaged vehicle was later recovered from the fields jointly by the police and the army. (KNT)
