GAZA: Top Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar has been killed by Israeli Defense Force (IDF) in Gaza among two others on Thursday.
According to Reuters, Israel Katz, Israel’s foreign minister, has announced the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. “Mass murderer Yahya Sinwar, who was responsible for the massacre and atrocities of October 7, was killed today by IDF soldiers,” said the minister.
Sinwar, who is believed to have started the October 7 attack, was killed in an Israeli operation in Gaza, according to Israel Katz.
Earlier, in a statement, the IDF said that three militants were killed during operations in Gaza, but did not specify where or elaborate further. It stated that while the identities of the three had not yet been confirmed, they were “checking the possibility” that one of them was Sinwar.
