Inspector General of Police (Kashmir range) AG Mir Thursday directed the police to provide counselling and de-addiction support to 14 years old Faisal Ahmad Mir, alias Chota Geelani of Shopian.
Faisal was arrested yesterday on the charges of stone pelting.
According to police Faisal Mir is involved in a number of cases of stone pelting in Shopian and various other violent activities.
Faisal, according to police is a drug addict and needs proper counselling to overcome the menace.
“Police will provide counselling and de-addiction support to the ‘stone pelter’/ ‘drug addict’ Faisal Ahmed Mir alias Chotta Geelani on the directions of IG Kashmir, a police statement said.
